Rocking Out

Now that Gwen has obtained some ability holding herself up and grasping small objects, I decided to try to find another way to entertain her while I'm in the kitchen.  I'm sure to regret it, but it keeps her happy for now...

Gwen now has a plastic spatula, a wooden spoon, and a metal mixing bowl.  After some effort she discovered that she could use these items together to make noise.

And while this is something that I would certainly do, I actually didn't.  Jenni did it all on her own.  We have ARMY BABY!

We also discovered another fun kitchen toy.  I was baking cookies and had prepped some cookie sheets with parchment paper.  Gwen managed to snag one of them and this is the result:

It's a girl!

Yes, sometimes I forget this fact.  Jenni says that starting now, I'm going to have to accept it and dress Gwen in some actual cute clothes.  This makes very little sense to me, but I stopped being the ruling factor in this household about 11 years ago or so.

So we have Gwen in a spring dress.

The Curse of the Tiny Baby

Gwen's tiny.  Really tiny.  At least as far as I'm concerned.  This becomes most apparent when we have a toy that is just too large for her.  In this case, we borrowed a bouncy swing from Davina:

She couldn't get her feet down straight no matter what we did, so mostly she ended up rotating instead of bouncing.  Not such a big hit.  And no, she's not in it backwards - we tried it both ways.

Her Father's Daughter

I think this little person is taking an uncanny resemblance to her father.  Grammer's computer died and I put a new one together.  Gwen took quite a bit of interest in the proceedings.  She even got a memento out of it:

Yes, The Luke is still an AMD fanboy.  The child will be raised to be as well.

She seems confused as to what to do with it.  She almost has the manual dexterity to install a CPU on her own, but I still had to help her this time.

NOM NOM SILICON!

Those with good eyes will have noticed in the previous pictures that she has my last bag of valentine's hearts.  It's crinkly, and safer than a potato chip bag.  I love these chalky hearts of goodness, and I'll have to take these from her at some point.  I'll have to boil the bag or something though...

NOM NOM PLASTIC!

Random cuteness ahead:
